Brisbane Heat wanted to do something different for their up-coming season and turned to us for help. We worked with Heat's marketing to come up with an app uses cutting edge technologies such as 360 Video content as well as Augmented Reality to enhance trading cards that young fans can collect. For Brisbane Heat’s 2017 “Come and Try Day”, we designed and created content for a featured AR Walk.
Since 360 video was new, we had to build out a custom rendering engine to handle all the video goodness Heat wanted to present. This meant managing multiple video types across different platforms.
If an image is a thousand words, then an AR card is like 1 gazillion words. Using the latest in AR tech, we created a way for the cards to come to life.
We took advantage of the latest in AR tech with a first in Australian crickets, AR filters for Facebook. This cutting edge tech focused on the user's face, and allowed us to play some nice animations.
